What is Teqball?

Teqball is a football-based sport played on a unique curved table, designed to help players of any level improve their touch, control, and game intelligence. It blends the technical skill of football with the competitive format of table tennis.

Invented in Hungary in 2014, Teqball was created to give footballers — and football fans of every age — a way to practise ball control anywhere, without needing a full pitch or a team. Today it is recognised by FITEQ (the International Teqball Federation) and is played competitively in over 100 countries.

The game is played 1v1 or 2v2 on either side of the curved table. Players use any part of the body except their hands and arms to return the ball, which must bounce on their own side before crossing back over — much like table tennis, but played entirely with the feet, thighs, chest, and head.

What makes Teqball unique is its accessibility and intensity: matches are fast, highly technical, and require sharp reflexes, balance, and ball mastery. It's equally loved by professional footballers sharpening their first touch and complete beginners discovering the sport for the first time.

Rules of Teqball

Teqball's rules are simple to learn but take real skill to master. Here are the core rules every player should know.

1
Singles or Doubles
Matches are played 1v1 or 2v2, with players standing on opposite sides of the curved table.
2
No Hands or Arms
Players may use their feet, thighs, chest, shoulders, or head — hands and arms are not allowed.
3
One Bounce Rule
The ball must bounce once on your own side of the table before it crosses over to your opponent's side.
4
Set Scoring
Matches are played in sets, with each set won by the first player or team to reach 12 points with a 2-point lead.
5
Serve Rotation
Serve alternates every two points, and players switch ends of the table between sets to keep play fair.
6
Out of Bounds
If the ball lands outside the marked boundary lines of the table, the point is awarded to the opponent.

The Teqball Table

The Teqball table is the heart of the sport — a purpose-built, curved playing surface engineered to replicate the bounce and behaviour of a football pitch in a compact, portable format.

Its distinctive curved shape lets players practise the same first touches, volleys, and headers they would use in a real match, while the table's responsive surface rewards clean technique and sharp control.

Every official table used in club training and FITEQ-sanctioned competition meets strict specifications for size, curvature, durability, and weather resistance, ensuring a consistent playing experience both indoors and outdoors.

H
Height
Standing height of around 75 cm at the centre, with the surface curving upward at both ends.
M
Materials
Built from reinforced, weather-resistant composite materials suited for both indoor and outdoor use.
C
Curved Surface
The signature curve at each end mimics natural ball bounce, recreating realistic football touches.
P
Portability
Foldable legs and a lightweight frame make the table easy to transport and set up for training or events.
